Acibadem has signed an extensive partnership agreement with one of the leading healthcare institutions in the United States, Harvard Medical International.

Acibadem Healthcare Group, while growing day-by-day due to the healthcare service capasity it is presently providing, continues with new investments, as well. Acibadem, in order to increase its healthcare service quality, has signed a partnership agreement with Harvard Medical International, which is the world’s most prominent institution in the fields of education and healthcare services development.

Harvard Medical Institution was established in 1994, with the aim of welcoming the international partnership requests received by Harvard Medical School and Harvard University, which are both worldwide pioneering institutions in the fields of healthcare services development, research and education. With this aim, 50 partnerhip projects have now been realized in 30 different countries.

Harvard Medical International is utilizing the accumulated knowledge of the 8,000 faculty members, 17 education hospitals and institutions of Harvard Medical School. Harvard Medical International assists all the healthcare institutions, with which it has partnership agreements, in the area of developing patient-focused healthcare services. HMI aims to develop the field of medicine and healthcare sector, with the vision of “global excellence” in the international arena.

What will the partnership provide?

The agreement providing the partnership between Acibadem and Harvard Medical International was signed on the 3rd of October, 2003.

The agreement covers the following issues:

•	Providing high-level profession development of the healthcare team and especially of the nurses,
•	Developing and reinforcing the quality management in healthcare delivery,
•	Increasing the level of healthcare delivery and treatment procedures in the fields of oncology and neurological sciences,
•	Providing some of the physicians of the Acibadem Healthcare Group with professional fellowship opportunities for certain periods in the United States,
•	Monitoring and following the improved treatment and healthcare delivery models employed at Harvard-affiliated hospitals.
•	Increasing the education opportunities by being integrated in the prestigious, global network Harvard Medical International has established in the field of healthcare,
•	Providing Acibadem with access to HMI’s digital library of medical resources.
•	Being able to compare the healthcare delivery criteria.
