MEHMET ALİ AYDINLAR
Chairman of the Board

Mehmet Ali Aydynlar started his business life as a financial consultant in 1981. In 1993, he branched out into the health sector with the acquisition of Acybadem Hospital. He holds the title of an honorary doctorate from Social Science Institution of Dumlupynar University. In 1998, Young Businessmen Association of Turkey honored him with the “Excellence in Management” award. In 2006, Mehmet Ali Aydynlar has been awarded as the “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the survey of “Business Person of the Year” organized by the Ekonomist Journal. He was also chosen as the “Business Executive of the Year” by Dünya Journal and School of Business Administration of Ystanbul University. Business Daily Referans Newspaper has awarded Acybadem Healthcare Group with the Grand Prize of the “Sail Fish of Turkey” in 2006. Health Volunteers also awarded Mr. Mehmet Ali Aydynar for his contributions to health, in 2007.

Following her graduation from the Chemistry Department of Galatasaray University, she started to work at Acibadem Hospital in 1993. She currently serves as Deputy Chairman of Acibadem Healthcare Group.

ALİ FUAT GÜVEN
Acıbadem Bursa, Hospital Director

He graduated from Istanbul University Law Faculty. He held various positions in the public sector. Between 1992-1999 he worked as Eskisehir Governor, between 1999-2003 as Bursa Governor, between 2003-2005 as Usak Governor. He earned honored doctorate title from Eskisehir Anadolu University . In 1989, Minister of Internal Affairs sent him to United States for a research project. Since 2006, besides being a board member, he has been serving as the Hospital Director of Acibadem Hospital Bursa.Since 2006, he has been serving as a board member. And he was working as the Hospital Director of Acibadem Hospital Bursa between 2006- 2008.

DR. ŞİNASİ CAN
Member Of the Board

He graduated from Istanbul University. He worked as a doctor in Kars for his compulsory and national service. Between 1971- 1991 he worked as medical expert in 1 st General Surgery, chief intern in Sisli Etfal Hospital. In 1991, he worked as a consultant for Acibadem Hospital in the process of formation. Between 1991–2000 he worked as chief physician and director in Acibadem Hospital. Between 2000 – 2006 Can worked as a doctor and president of ethical board.

SELÇUK YORGANCIOGLU
Member Of the Board

Selcuk started his career at Interbank in Turkey as a management trainee in 1992. Between 92 and 98 he worked for ABN AMRO Group out of Amsterdam and London as part of the Emerging Markets Investment Banking Team focusing on Emerging Europe, mainly Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. Between 98 and 2000, Selcuk served as an Executive Vice President and head of investment banking at Finansbank Group in Turkey. After that Selcuk moved back to London, worked for Deutsche Bank as a part of the senior management for Emerging Markets Investment Banking Team between 2000 and 2008. In his last year at DB between 2007 and 2008, Selcuk took up the post of Deutsche Bank Group CEO back home in Turkey until April 2008 which is when he joined Abraaj as an Executive Director with a prime responsibility for Turkey. Selcuk is a graduate of Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics and has an MBA, Finance from University of New Haven, CT.

In 1991, he earned the title of Professor of Neurosurgery at Marmara Univ. School of Medicine. He currently holds the positions of Chairman of Neurosurgery Department of Marmara Univ. School of Medicine and Manager of Marmara Univ. School of Medicine Neurological Sciences Institute.

MERİ BAHAR
Deputy General Manager

She was graduated from Bogazici University "Psychology" Department and from İstanbul University "Health Services and Hospital Management Department" ( M.A).Before Acıbadem Health Group ,Meri Bahar worked as manager at International Hospital and Yaşamkent bounded to Bayındır Holding. Bahar joined to group as Acıbadem Hospital Management Coordinator in 1999.

Bahar worked at Bakırköy Hospital between the years 2001-2002, at Kozyatağı Hospital between the years 2004-2005, at Kadıköy Hospital between 2005-2006.2006-2008 at International Hospital as Hospital Director. From 2001, Bahar also has been worked as Marketing Director of the group. Since March 2008 she has been working as General Manager.

After graduating from Boğaziçi University Industrial Engineering Department, at 1991 with scholarship of Turkish Education Foundation and American Fullbright Education Foundation, he was graduated from Chigago Northwestern University, JL Kellogg School, with the master's degree of Business Management.

He worked as Planning Engineer at Turkey organisation of Procter&Gamble between 1988–1989, as Marketing and Planning Group Manager at the same companies. Germany organisation between 1991–1995, as Project Manager at McKinsey and Company's Turkey and Switzerland organisations between 1995-2001, as Turkey Office Director at the management consulting company PwC Consulting between 2002-2004, and finally as General Manager and administrative commitee member at Memorial Health Investment between the years 2005-2007.

After graduating from Boğaziçi University Electronic Engineering Department in 1986, he took his masters degree from Marmara University Economic Development and International Economy Department at 1991. He is a PhD Candidate at the same department now.

He worked as Software Engineer at Netaş between 1986-1988, as System Analyst, Software Unit Manager and Assistant of General Director at Esbank T.A.Ş. between 1988-2001, as Information Systems Director at Acıbadem Health Group between 2001-2002, as Banking Sector Leader at IBM Business Consulting Service between 2002-2004.

Between 2004–2007 he worked as Partner General Director at Suwen International and Administrative Comitee Consultant at Acıbadem Health Group.

MARC PHILIPPE
Chief Financial Officer

He was graduated from one of the famous universities of France, ESSEC. He took his Management Directory masters degree from the same university.

He worked at the projects buying the companies, risky capital projects, buying strategical minority shares projects. He have an 18 years of experience by working at the European companies Duke Street Capital, GE Capital and Cognetas, about the subjects, business development, company jointures and take overs, and private equity. He leaded the partnership of Abraaj Capital with Acıbadem Health Group.

PROF. DR. AHMET ŞAHİN

Following graduation at Galatasaray High School in 1979,he was graduated from Hacettepe Univercity Medical Faculty in 1985. He completed his speciality education at Hacettepe University Medical Faculty Urology department in 1991 and than be lecturer in 1995 and professor in 2002.Şahin worked in United States , Long Island Jewish Hospital Urology Clinic between the years 1996-1997.From the year 2000 he worked as phiysician in chief at Hacettepe Adult Hospital.From the date of December 2007 he has been working as Acıbadem Health Group Medical Service Director.

After graduating from ODTU Industrial Engineering Department, he took his masters degree from Bilkent University Management Department.

After that Lembet worked at Privatization Management and responsible with the relations with World Bank, Yatırımbank Project Finance Department , and in the name of American Investment Bank Fieldstone he worked at New York and Ankara.

Lembet joined the group in 14.02.2005 as Acıbadem Kadıköy Hospital Assistant Director. She worked as Business Development and Project Finances Coordinator from 01.02.2006. . She worked as Ambulatory Treatment Units Coordinator from 2006- 2008 bounded to General Director of Acibadem Health Group. She has been working as Investor Relations and Institutional Finance Director .

In 1978, she graduated from Istanbul University School of Economics where she majored in the field of Business Administration-Statistics. Following various upper management posts in the finance sector, in 2002 she joined the Acibadem Healthcare Group. She currently serves as the Director of Information systems at Acibadem Healthcare Group.

She graduated from Industrial Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University. She completed her master's degree in Engineering Management at the same university. After working in Anadolu Group, SAP Information System and Turkcell, she joined Acıbadem Healthcare Group in 2005 as a Human Resource System and Compensation Manager. Prof. Dr.H. Erdal Akalin is a graduate of Hacettepe University Medical School, Ankara, Turkey. He completed his training in internal medicine and infectious diseases at University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Chicago, USA between 1971-1976. He was a faculty member at the same institute from 1981 to 1983, and was a member of the team for Continuous Medical Education at MacNeal Memorial Hospital, Berwyn, Illinois. On his return to his home country, Dr. Akalin founded the Infectious Disease Section at Hacettepe University Medical School, and was the director of the section from 1983 to 1994. He became professor of medicine on 1988. Dr. Akalin was associate dean for medical education, and was also a member of Continuous Medical Education Commission of the Turkish Medical Association. He is member of 8 international (in the executive committee of two) and 5 national scientific societies. He has published more than 250 original articles, presented over 490 scientific studies in international and national meetings, and he is author of 50 book chapters, and editor of 8 books. Prof.Dr. Akalin’s research interests are on antibiotic use, bacterial resistance, health care systems, quality in health care and disease management. From September 1994 to January 2007, he was a director and medical advisor at Pfizer-Turkey, Istanbul, and a team member/leader in various international functions of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Group, New York, NY, USA.
At February 2007, he joined Acibadem Healthcare Group and since then works as the Medical Advisor to the Chairman.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from University of Marmara . Following his graduation, he continued his Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration at the same university. Before joining Acibadem Healthcare Group in 1997, he worked at different hospitals at managerial levels. He is currently working as the General Manager of Acibadem Project Management.

He is a graduate of Tarsus American High School and Dicle Univ. Medical School . He became Turkey consultant for the Methodist Hospital and the first Turkish Chief Physician of the American Hospital . Later on, he joined MedNet as founding partner and Managing Director. In Beirut and Dubai , he worked as a Managing Director for NextCare Dubai. He is responsible for the establishment of the Objective Corporate Management concept in the health insurance sector. In 1997 he was awarded with an Eisenhower scholarship, an annual honour bestowed upon those considered to be the leader of the future in the fields of Health and Financing. He is still working as the General Manager of Acibadem Health and Life Insurance.
