Excimer Laser

Overview

It corrects eyesight and refractory errors, such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, by reshaping the cornea. It is used to treat myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.

Features

A thin layer (flap) is elevated over the cornea to create a smooth surface to shoot laser beams into the eye. Laser pulse is shot into the cornea and the irregular surface is corrected as previously planned. The device works quickly and offers permanent solution for refractive error. Requirement for prescription glasses and contact lenses is eliminated.
