Acıbadem Hospital was the first step of Mr. Aydınlar, who began his career as Certified Public Accountant in 1981, into the health sector in 1991. He was awarded “Management Excellence Award” at “Global Young Entrepreneur Businessman Competition” in 1998. He was awarded the title ‘Honorary Doctorate’ by Social Sciences Institute, Dumlupınar University. He was recognized as the “Male Entrepreneur of the Year” in the “Business Person of The Year” Survey conducted by Ekonomist magazine and elected as the "Business Manager of the Year" by Dünya Newspaper and School of Business, Istanbul University in 2006. Referans Newspaper elected Acıbadem Healthcare Group as the “Fastest Fish in Turkey” in the same year. Mr. Aydınlar was given “The Person Who Makes Most Voluntary Personal Contributions to Healthcare” award by Healthcare Volunteers in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Bhagat Chintamani Aniruddha ("Chinta Bhagat”) is currently Manager in Investment Department of Khazanah Nasional Berhad ("Khazanah"). Chinta, who is the Director of Mumbai Office, manages the healthcare sector. Chinta has worked in Singapore Office of McKinsey & Company for 14 years, including 6 years as Managing Partner, prior to his career in Khazanah. Chinta is specialized in Major Investor Relations and Applications and serves wealth fund of various countries, private equity firms and family businesses, but he is also a renowned person in healthcare sector due to his professional career in various hospitals of Asia. Chinta Bhagat formed the institutional management service of McKinsey and managed this operation for a long time. Having worked in various positions in engineering and construction companies in India before joining to McKinsey, Chinta was promoted to CEO position in this company. Takeshi Saito had his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Sciences in Keito University of Japan. He completed the postgraduate program in Kellogs School of Management in Northwestern University. Takeshi Saito spent a large part of his career, which started at Mitsui & Co. in 1995, in healthcare sector. He was assigned as the head of Pharmaceutics Department after 2 years in Finance Department. Following graduation from MBA in 2004, he was Institutional Planning Director at Mitsui U.S.A and he managed the sectors of chemistry, natural resources, consumer services and information technologies. During his assignment in Mitsui U.S.A., he pioneered the foundation of health department and an investment to a leading physician services management company. Takeshi Saito was promoted to Manager of Strategic Planning and Business Development in Life Sciences Department (the name was changed as Medical Services Department on 2008) of Mitsui in 2007. Mr. Saito, who managed the investments on one of the largest pharmaceutical chains in Japan during his assignment, also made the 10-year plan of this new department. Being promoted to the position of Director on 2009, Mr. Saito managed the investment of IHH and he was temporarily assigned to Strategic Planning Department of Parkway Group Healthcare as Deputy Director. Shirish Moreshwar Apte has extensive experience in areas of banking and finance. Starting his career as a banker in Citibank, India on 1981, he worked at many assignments in London (1993-1997), Poland (1997-2003), London (2003-2009), Hong Kong (2009-2011) and Singapore (2011-2013) as an employee of Citibank/Citigroup. Mr. Apte worked in growing markets which include Middle and Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa (CEEMEA) and Asian Pacific during his 32-year career in Citibank/Citigroup.
Heading the Institutional Banking and Investment Banking Departments of Citigroup in India, he was CEO of Citibank Poland and became the first regional CEO of CEEMA and Asian Pacific. Being a member of administration and operation committees of Citigroup from 2008 to 2012, Mr. Apte also headed the committee of business practices in the group. Low Soon Teck was a lawyer in a boutique firm in Singapore from 1991 to 1993 and he focused on corporate and banking laws in that period. Then, he started working for Kuok/Kerry Group in Hong Kong and had various senior positions including China Operation Directorate of SCMP Group that published the South China Morning Post. He was responsible for business development, newspaper printing, circulation operations and management of a retail stores chain. Low Soon Teck returned to Singapore in 2005 and started working as Group’s Financial Auditor in Kuok Oils & Grains Pte Ltd. This company was merged with Wilmar International Co. Ltd. in 2006. He worked in Wilmar as Treasury Director until 2009. Next, he was assigned to PACC Offshore Services Holdings, the offshore navigation branch of Kuok/Kerry Group, as Chief Financial Officer. Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation is internationally accepted and recognized review model. The commission conducts independent assessments to investigate whether requirements of a series of standards are met or not to improve the quality of care in healthcare organizations. The commission has accredited more than 1000 healthcare facilities in more than 70 countries. JCI standards include patient safety targets, access to care and sustainability of care, rights of patients and family members, examination and care of patients, anesthesia and surgical care, drug use, and education of patients and family members under the title of patient-centered standards. Quality improvement and patient safety, prevention and control of infections, management, leadership and guidance, management and security of facility, qualification and education of employees and information management fall into the scope of management standards for healthcare facilities.

Acıbadem Labmed Medical Laboratory was accredited by DACH (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle Chemie) in accordance with ISO 15189 standards to be valid as of October 20, 2015 and it has become the first medical laboratory with ISO 15189 accreditation in Turkey. The laboratory was re-accredited by Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK) in line with TS EN ISO 15189 standards to be valid as of 19/10/2010 and it has become the first laboratory accredited by TURKAK according to TS EN ISO 15189 standards in Turkey. Acıbadem Labmed Medical Laboratory was re-accredited by TURKAK according to TS EN ISO 15189 standards in 2014 and became the first medical laboratory accredited by TURKAK according to TS EN 15189 standards within the concept of flexible scope to be valid as of 10.01.2017. The laboratory was re-accredited in January 2019 and became the first laboratory maintaining the 4th accreditation cycle in accordance with TS EN ISO 15189 in Turkey.

Aplus Hastane Otelcilik Hizmetleri A.Ş. completed establishment of quality management system to achieve standardization in production and operation processes of catering and textile laundry services, gather and manage the relevant processes under a certain system and it was awarded with ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate by international accreditation commissions. Since the principle of transporting the clean and dirty textile products separately is adopted, each stage of transfer procedure is monitored with vehicle tracking system and reported. The processes are managed through full automation system, which have been standardized by RAL-GZ 992 Professional Fabric Care Quality and Test Specifications. - If your primary physician forbids visitors and/or companions for the sake of your patient’s health, please comply with this rule.

- For the patients at intensive care unit, please call the patient’s nurse using the phone at the entrance of the unit. You can be allowed to visit your patient if there is no medical contraindication and the patient and intensive care environment are suitable for your visit. Consider the visit rules and relevant details that are instructed when you are allowed to enter the unit.
- People with fever, runny nose, cough, diarrhea, vomiting and infectious dermatitis are not allowed to visit their patients.
- Visiting procedures can be restricted in case of an epidemic.
- Wash your hands or use the hand disinfectant in the area before and after the visit.
- Follow the instructions of our health professionals when visiting the isolated patients.
- Do not contact to other patients and patient care materials.
- Be careful about privacy of patients and family members during your visit.
- Try not to cry, shout or any similar behavior that reflect your emotional status near our patients (as it will be harmful for them).
- Please do not bring or accept foods-drinks to help protection of our patients’ health.
- Planted flowers are not accepted to patient rooms due to risk of infections. Planted flowers sent for the patient will be delivered at the discharge stage.
- Do not use your mobile phone in places where there is medical equipment.
- Do not use water heaters etc. in patient rooms as they can cause technical problems.
- Do not speak loudly.
- Pets are not allowed at our hospitals, please do not bring.
- Smoking is strictly forbidden at our hospitals, excluding designated areas.
- A companion is regarded as a visitor who is in the patient’s room after 22:00. The patients can have only one companion in all rooms.

Voluntary doctor and nurse clowns of Acıbadem take a role in the medical animation service that aims to minimize stress and anxiety at hospital settings for children and adults.Clean Hands Campaign
This campaign is held to increase awareness of hand-washing and make it a public habit through the motto “Clean Hands Save Life”. In the hand-washing campaign, certain activities are organized, such as improvement of hand-washing habit, awareness educations and outdoor advertisements.Cancer Support Groups
Cancer patients are about to face many physical and psychological problems. “Cancer Support Groups” are established to support patients with documented cancer who are maintained on treatment or in the follow-up. Terry Fox Run is an activity that is organized every year to provide cancer studies with financial fund. This Run has been organized since the death of Terry Fox who was diagnosed with bone cancer and ran “Marathon of Hope”, after his leg was amputated when he was only 18. Diabetes School is one of these educations. Diabetes Centers allow multidisciplinary treatment for diabetic patients. Participants are certified, if they attend all “Diabetes School” education meetings held by Acıbadem Diabetes Centers for five weeks pursuant to patient education program.
Acıbadem Hayat Magazine is created by modifying design and content of Güncel Sağlık (Up-to-date Health) magazine, which has been published by Acıbadem Healthcare Group since 1995, in 2010. Acıbadem Hayat is a popular health magazine published at quarter intervals. It addresses many issues, ranging from all topics that should be known in health to novel diagnosis and treatment modalities, as plain and simple as possible in a colorful format along with interviews with physicians of Acıbadem. Failure to access to correct health information is a major problem about children and health for children in our county. Parents usually provoke the fear of visiting a doctor by punishing their children with ‘a visit to a doctor’. However, a good communication should be ensured between children and healthcare facilities continuously in their growth age until they become a healthy adult, rather than when they get sick. Badem Child tale series do not only tell health information, but it also offers a model for parents regarding their communication with children.
Briefly, Badem Child tale series is a tool that also guides and educates parents. Another aim of this project is to create simple health guidelines for families. These tales are authored under supervision of specialized physicians.READ ALL
