Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation is a rehabilitation method used for cardiac and pulmonary conditions.

It is divided into two fields; Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. While Cardiac Rehabilitation is specific for cardiovascular conditions, Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a treatment program applied for long-standing lung diseases in addition to medication treatments.

Physical therapy programs are planned in addition to medical treatments for cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases within scope of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation in Acıbadem.

Diagnosis and treatment services are offered in cooperation with the departments of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Patients are evaluated with a multidisciplinary approach and treatment methods are chosen accordingly.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac rehabilitation aims to increase physical, psychological and functional capacities of cardiovascular disease patients.

Cardiac rehabilitation helps;

• Alleviation of complaints, such as chest pain and shortness of breath,
• Strengthening of heart muscles,
• Control blood pressure and diabetes.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation

With pulmonary rehabilitation;

• Increases exercise capacity, boosts quality of life and shortens hospital stay,
• Strengthens respiratory muscles through respiratory muscle exercises,
• Strengthens muscles of the target body part using exercises that strengthen the body and the upper extremity.
