Child and Adolescent Health

Physical, sexual and psychosocial developments of teens aged 10-18 are assessed and immunization status is to administer skipped vaccines in Acıbadem regarding Child and Adolescent Health.

Height and weight of teens are evaluated, while the risks are screened for common adolescence infections, eating disorders, obesity, leanness, tiredness, menstrual cycle problems, testicular conditions and varicocele in male adolescents, breast diseases in male and female adolescents, athlete health, posture disorders, psychosocial problems and bone health as well as osteoporosis that might affect their health adversely in the future, hypertension and hyperlipidemia and an interdisciplinary approach is applied for follow-up and treatment, if any health issue is noted.

On the other hand, requirements of a child are identified and potential problems are addressed early from perspective of social pediatrics, while social institutions are cooperated and coordinated for disease prevention, public education on health, nutrition and social issues, education of technical personnel and organization in delivery of healthcare services.

All services are offered in line with the approach of “Adolescent Friendly Health Services” that is recommended by the World Health Organization.
