What is FTR - Pain Treatment?

Pain treatment is a personalized treatment method applied to relieve musculoskeletal and nervous system-related pain, accelerate tissue healing, and increase mobility. This treatment, planned by Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (FTR) specialists, uses techniques such as hot and cold applications, electrotherapy, ultrasound, laser therapy, and exercise. During the treatment process, the patient's pain intensity, functional status, and quality of life are carefully evaluated to develop solutions that will enable them to perform daily activities independently. Pain treatment is applied with a multidisciplinary approach, aiming to achieve both physical and psychological recovery.

What Does FTR - Pain Treatment Focus On?

Pain treatment applied within the scope of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (FTR) focuses on musculoskeletal and nervous system-related pain and aims to identify and alleviate the underlying causes of pain and to eliminate functional losses. Treatment covers conditions such as acute or chronic pain, joint stiffness, muscle spasms, nerve compression, spinal problems, and injuries. FTR specialists evaluate the severity and source of pain to create personalized treatment plans and aim to increase patients' mobility and improve their quality of life through methods such as hot and cold applications, electrotherapy, exercise, and manual therapy.

PT - What Methods Are Used in Pain Treatment?

The methods used in pain treatment within the scope of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation (PT) vary depending on the type, severity, and source of the pain. Hot and cold applications are effective methods for reducing muscle spasms and inflammation. Electrotherapy aims to suppress pain signals through nerve and muscle stimulation, while ultrasound and laser therapy are used to accelerate the healing of deep tissues. Manual therapy aims to increase joint and muscle mobility. In addition, exercise programs tailored to the patient contribute to reducing pain by increasing muscle strength and flexibility. Acupuncture, dry needling, and taping techniques are also frequently used complementary methods. Each of these methods is applied as part of a multidisciplinary approach to alleviate the patient's pain, increase mobility, and improve quality of life.
