Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine Departments of Acıbadem Healthcare Group serve patients in divisions, such as hematology, oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, cardiology, rheumatology and gastroenterology, along with general internal medicine department. Our Internal Medicine Department manages treatments, consultations, preoperative preparations and necessary interventions for our inpatients.

Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology is a medical division that deals with disorders of digestive system (stomach, intestines), liver, bile ducts and pancreas. Various digestive system diseases are diagnosed and treated at gastroenterology division. Hepatologists treat all liver diseases, including complications of cirrhosis, at Gastroenterology divisions of Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases

Acıbadem Healthcare Group’s Endocrinology and Metabolism Diseases Departments deal with physiology of endocrine system as well as diseases of thyroid gland, diabetes mellitus, obesity, lipids, osteoporosis, adrenal gland diseases, reproductive endocrinology, pituitary diseases and hormonal autoimmune diseases. Endocrinology and Metabolism departments provide clinical healthcare services in all facilities of Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

Hematology

Hematology division diagnoses and treats and offers genetic counseling for hemoglobinopathies and the division also deals with diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma, leukemia and coagulation disorders. Hematology Division intends to evolve as a major hemoglobinopathy screening center and chemotherapy and cellular treatment unit for hematologic malignancies, in cooperation with Genetics Department of Acıbadem Healthcare Group.

Nephrology

Our Nephrology Departments offers diagnosis and treatment services for patients with kidney diseases. Nephrology consultation and hypertension clinic are found in the department. Kidneys diseases are diagnosed and treated and hypertension and pre-eclampsia are managed, while renal biopsies are performed in our clinics. We also perform hemodialysis and CVVH (continuous veno-venous hemofiltration) therapies, whenever deemed necessary.

Rheumatology

Inflammatory rheumatoid diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus as well as osteoarthritis, which is colloquially called calcification, and similar diseases are diagnosed and treated. Other departments, including but not limited to orthopedics, neurology and algology outpatient clinics, are sought help for treatment of diseases, if it is deemed necessary.

Medical Oncology

Services provided by Medical Oncology Departments of Acıbadem Healthcare Group include cancer prevention, cancer screening, and early diagnosis and treatment.
