Pedagogy

A Pedagogue is a psychologist, also known as child psychologist, who follows up the child’s psychosocial, cognitive and emotional development and provides parents with counseling, when needed.

Pedagogic services offered in Acıbadem:

• Identifying infants, children and adolescents: Observation, evaluation
• Family Counseling: Adoption of basic habits, such as nutrition, sleep and toilet training; correcting the bad habits; regulating communication among family members, relationship problems and sibling relations.
• Coping with emotional, social and behavioral problems: providing support for impulsivity, obstinacy, anger, diffidence, concern, poor or no adjustment, inability to make friends, fears, traumas, phobias, hyperactivity, hypoactivity, bad habits, identity confusion and trust problems
• Coping with academic problems: School phobia, academic failure, exam anxiety, skills for coping with problems arising out of friend relations
• Recognizing, evaluating, leading, observing the individual: Knowledge acquisition from family, teachers and counselors through observation, tests and surveys; assessment and evaluation using intelligence, personality, attention and memory tests
