At Acıbadem Healthcare Group’s Thoracic Surgery departments, diseases that begin in or involve organs of the chest cavity are diagnosed and surgically treated, if necessary.

Presenting to Thoracic Surgery departments of our hospitals, patients are assessed with a multidisciplinary approach by a team of oncologists, pulmonary medicine physicians and radiologists along with thoracic surgeons.

Diagnosis and Treatment Services available in Thoracic Surgery Department

Diagnosis and treatment services are as follows at Acıbadem Healthcare Group’s Thoracic surgery departments: major lung resections; tracheal resection; bronchoplasty; chest wall resection and reconstruction; rigid and fiberoptic bronchoscopy, mediastinoscopy, and videothoracoscopy (VATS); and thoracic surgery emergencies (including removal of tracheobronchial and esophageal foreign bodies).

Thoracic Surgery Departments also perform invasive procedures for treatment of lung, esophageal, tracheal, mediastinal cancers, metastatic lung cancer, mesothelioma, sarcoma, thoracic outlet syndrome, and thymoma as well as benign diseases of thoracic organs and malignant pleural effusions.
