Diagnosis and Treatment Services in Gastroenterologic Surgery Division

General surgeons and gastroenterologists assess and treat esophageal (esophagitis, reflux, hiatal hernia, cancers), gastric and duodenal (ulcer, gastritis, benign-stromal-malignant tumors), intestinal and colonic diseases (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, tumors) and anal and rectal problems (fissure, fistula, hemorrhoidal disease, incontinence, prolapse) as well as diseases and disorders of liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts.

Patients are consulted with radiologists at diagnostic phase and interventional radiology procedures (biopsy, drainage, stent applications) are also carried out, if necessary. All surgical procedures are carried out with laparoscopic or open approach.

Patients with documented cancer are discussed in a council of physicians from relevant department regarding their follow-up; pre and postoperative oncologic follow up and treatments are planned for patients who require gastroenterologic surgery.
