Ductoscopy is a diagnosis and treatment device used to identify and remove wart-like lesions that are located in the ductal system of breasts, cause nipple discharge and pose risk of cancer.

Ductoscopy can demonstrate wart-like lesions, measuring 1 mm in diameter, in milk ducts, as such lesions cannot be detected by sonography and mammography.

It is used for diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. Ductoscopy is a diagnosis and treatment device used to identify and remove wart-like lesions that are located in the ductal system of breasts, cause nipple discharge and pose risk of cancer.

A tiny endoscope is inserted into nipple to evaluate the ductal system of breasts. The wart-like lesions, measuring approximately 1 mm in diameter, in these ducts are marked digitally on the image. Moreover, appropriate lesions can be removed in the same session.

Since these lesions can be removed in selected patients in a ductoscopy session, surgery becomes unnecessary. In cases where the surgery is necessary, ability to mark the cancerous lesions located in milk ducts in advance guides the surgeon in a surgical procedure and thus, the damage to breast tissues is minimized. Moreover, patients are not exposed to radiation in ductoscopy.
