At Pediatric Infectious Diseases Department of Acıbadem Healthcare Group, infectious or febrile diseases are followed up, which are the most common cause of admission in childhood.

Common disorders such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections, diarrhea and urinary tract infection are examined and followed up.

Moreover, workup and treatments are planned for diseases with rash which are ever-increasingly prevalent in childhood, contagious diseases, hospital-acquired infections, congenital infections, challenging infections of cancer patients, opportunistic infections in children with immune system suppressed due to various reasons and/or children and adolescents with acquired immune deficiency virus (HIV).

Families are informed about diseases that can be prevented through immunization and child-specific vaccination schedules are planned for special conditions (postoperative vaccination, immunization before travel etc.).

Immune system is examined in detail regarding resistant infections in allergic conditions with quickly increasing prevalence and recurrent infections; appropriate approaches are adopted to decrease incidence/severity of infections, if required.
