Psychology units of Acıbadem Healthcare Group offers healthcare services, including but not limited to personal psychotherapy, family therapy, marriage and couple therapy and adolescent and child psychotherapy.

Services rendered by psychologists are as follows; depression, anxiety disorders, phobias, obsessive and compulsive disorders (OCB), traumatic disorders (PTSD), relationship problems, divorce problems, post-divorce depression, geriatric depression, loneliness, depression related to mourning, post-partum depression, work life problems and stress, social phobia, personality disorders, school problems, attention deficits, studying problems, anxiety and fears which occur while preparing for college, career counseling, and psychological problems that may occur in cases of infertility, obesity, chronic disorders (cancer, heart diseases, diabetes, etc.) and fatal diseases.

Diagnosis and Treatment Services available in Psychology Unit

In Psychology divisions, all psychotherapy programs are available at weekly sessions by psychologists. The patient is informed about the relevant program in detail subject to confidentiality and limit principles. If necessary, the case is managed in cooperation with psychiatry clinic.

Family therapy

Family therapy programs deals with domestic communication problems, coalition and border problems, unexpressed feelings, personal and familial awareness and development of empathy.

Marriage and Couple Therapy

Marriage and Couple Therapy programs focuses on therapeutic efforts for open communication, expressing feelings, honesty, self confidence, empathy, personal and couple awareness and efficient problem solving skills. There is a psychological support program for couples with infertility or those under treatment.

Adolescent and Child Psychotherapy

A very wide range of services is delivered in Adolescent and Child Psychotherapy programs: parents counseling, psychotherapy for children at school age, adolescent depression, self-confidence development, school adaptation problems, coping with exam anxiety, career counseling, relationship problems, sexual problems, and domestic conflicts in adolescence. Moreover, psychological support is preoperatively offered to pediatric patients who will undergo a surgery.
